Why we built Truko
Truko is a Client Revenue Operating System for agencies, IT support firms, and real estate agents in Nigeria. We built it because the tools that exist were not built with us in mind.
Nigerian service businesses (digital agencies, IT firms, estate agents) typically manage their client relationships across WhatsApp chats, Excel sheets, Gmail, and a payments app. Revenue leaks through the cracks. Contracts lapse unnoticed. Invoices sit unpaid for weeks because nobody followed up. Clients churn silently.
Most client management tools were designed for a different market. They assume credit card payments, Western billing cycles, and team sizes most Nigerian SMEs will never reach. The onboarding alone takes weeks.
Truko was built to fix this. One system that manages the entire client lifecycle from first contact to renewal: prospect tracking, onboarding checklists, invoicing, Paystack payment links, email follow-ups, and renewal alerts: all connected together and scoped to your specific vertical. WhatsApp follow-ups are coming soon.
We are starting with Nigeria because that is where we know the problem best.
What we believe

- A contact database is not a revenue system. Truko connects every client relationship directly to a contract, invoice, renewal, and payment. You can see the full picture (who is paying, who is at risk, and what action you need to take today) without switching between four different tools.
- Simple enough to use
- We have seen what happens when Nigerian SMEs buy complex software: it gets abandoned within two months. Truko is built to be picked up without training. If a team member needs a manual to log a call note, we have failed.
